The Format Wars, Take Two

In a move that could all but ensure the death of HD-DVD, Toshiba is poised to announce that it will stop producing HD-DVD players, in favor of the Blu-Ray format, using technology pioneered by Sony. Hey, at least Sony seems to have learned from its expensive BetaMistake in the mid-70s.
